RELATIONSHIPS!!!

What is a relationship?

As per the dictionary meaning, it is "A particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealing with eachother".

A relationship develops when two people are associated with eachother, by personal or professional ties. Their could be blood relations, or friends from across the street, or people who have fallen in love with eachother. Each relationship begins from a certain point, like , when a child is born, his relationship with his parents & family begins.

Similarly, when you meet a new person and he becomes your friend, a new relationship emerges. Also, when two people fall in love with eachother, a new relation blossoms.

 

From the time a relation develops, it undergoes a no. of changes. Initially, its all good & beautiful. Both the parties are happy to be in the company of another. They enjoy the time spent together. They care and respect eachother. They want to be together more to get to know eachother better. At such times, there are no conflicts, any minor problems are ignored and people tend to overlook any issues that might surface.

Gradually, both the parties get to know the real insights of eachother. The employee understands the nature of the boss & the boss can comprehend the attitude of the employee. Similarly, as the friendship grows, the friends understand the behavior of the other friend & his moods. Even lovers can understand eachother's tantrums, mood swings, like & dislikes.

 As the insight deepens, both the parties try to live harmoniously & want to show more respect & care for eachother. However, as time passes, they both tend to come out in their real colors. So any compromises which were easily made initially, when he wanted to her better, are slowly thrown out of the window, as he wishes to fulfill his own desires first. So the boss aims to get the task done - by hook or by crook, the friend does not want to share his lunch with the other as he is more hungry, the boyfriend cannot wait, while the girlfriend takes another hour to get ready.

So both parties become meaner and this results in disputes, quarrels, fights. The relationship matures but the consideration for one another reduces. Friends do not share all the information and gossip with eachother, lovers are not ready to sacrifice everything for the other and even parents and kids start having issues, on how they look and perceive things in life.

 

The relationships loose their initial charms, when all was hunky-dory & when one would do anything to accommodate the other. What replaces it, is the selfish mean of each person, where he doesn't mind the other person feeling bad, as long as he feels good. Most relationships then survive on a bridge, where each person wishes to travel the least & stick to their side, in order to make the ends meet.
